In preparation for a move, many clients use some or all of the following services.

Sorting
  1. When is the last time you wore it? 
  2. Does it fit?
  3. Do you like it?
  4. Will you wear it?
  5. Is it comfortable?
  6. How many duplicates do you have?
  7. For things other than clothes - when is the last time you used it?  Does it have sentimental value or  is it just 'stuff'.  Does it work? 
  8. For all the hobby items - is it a hobby you are going to continue?
We generally sort with 1 staff member working with 1 client for no more than 4 hours at a time.  Our clients generally sit while we do the physical work.  The process goes quickly.

 

Organizing
  • Clutter bug?
  • Prefer 'piling' systems?
  • Save everything, just in case?
We deal with all ends of the neat to cluttered spectrum.  Allow us to develop a system that works for you.  If you have never filed anything, a well organized filing system is probably a waste of time for you.  If you won't keep it up, there's no sense trying.  But there are systems that will work. 
Disposing of Unneeded / Unwanted items.

After you decide what to take, we can dispose of the rest.
  • First ask your loved ones.  Note - ask.  Don't force.
  • Some items can often be sold. 
  • Many items can often be donated.  We have a resource list of charities who will pick up your unneeded items.
  • The last resort is to throw things away.
Note:  The sooner you start, the more time we have, the more likely we can re-home unneeded / unwanted possessions.
